Nas locked in as final Bluesfest headliner
After what feels like an endless string of announcements, Bluesfest have now almost settled on their final line up for the 2017 festival. And they’re coming to a close with a bang.
Leading this major announcement is hip hop royalty Nas, who will perform and exclusive Australian show at the festival with the help of New Orleans horn ensemble the Soul Rebels.
Also on the latest announcement is Kasey Chambers, who continues to make some of the most interesting and engaging country music ever produced in Australia. Her latest record Dragonfly is a gem and it’ll be great to hear songs from it in the Bluesfest arena.
Rounding out the final announcement are Rockhampton chart-toppers Busby Marou, South African flautist Wouter Kellerman, and locals Little Georgia and Lucy Gallant.
Next week will see the final few acts added to the bill, most of whom are a part of Bluesfest's Boomerang Festival component.
