These MS Paint versions of classic album covers are gloriously imperfect

Primary tabs

We asked you to recreate classic album covers in MS Paint. You didn't disappoint.

We had a bit of a shock earlier this week as news got around that Microsoft were set to slowly kill off their beloved image making program MS Paint.

After a monumental outpouring of support from the millions of people whose first experience with image creation, and computers in general, came via the bare bones sketchpad software, Microsoft promised they’d keep the program available to anyone who wanted it.

We wanted to pay our respects to the program, so asked the Double J audience to fire up the old program again and get busy on recreating some of the best album covers using only MS Paint.

You did not disappoint.

Here are just a few of our favourite submissions, some of which we’d be happy to print out and substitute the real covers for.

There are plenty more submissions over on the Double J Facebook page. We strongly recommend spending a few minutes admiring this amazing waste use of time.
