At The Drive-In return to Australia this September

Primary tabs

At The Drive-In will play three massive Australian shows later this year.

Incendiary Texan punks At The Drive-In are back in full-force with a new album due all set to land on Friday 5 May and now a return to Australia locked in for later in the year.

The band were in Australia last year for Splendour In The Grass and a couple of sideshows, where they showed that their music has lost none of its power since the release of their last album, the classic Relationship Of Command, in 2000.

Yes, they are older and there aren’t quite so many headstands. No, the brilliant Jim Ward is no longer a part of the band. But we promise you, the At The Drive-In we saw last year were still completely brilliant. We can’t wait to have them back.

The band’s first new album in 17 years is called in • ter a • li • a – they’ve always done things their own way – and the first couple of singles have been pretty great. Have a listen to one of them, ‘Governed By Contagions’, below and make up your own mind.

Catch the band playing the following three massive east coast dates. General public tickets are on sale next Wednesday.

Thursday 28 September – Festival Hall, Melbourne
Friday 29 September – Hordern Pavilion, Sydney
Monday 2 October – Eatons Hill Hotel, Brisbane
