The Clouds and Falling Joys team up for national tour
Two hugely beloved Australian indie acts of the 90s are teaming up for a very special tour, as The Clouds and Falling Joys come together for a celebration of both the old and the new this November.
This has been a pretty big year for The Clouds, with the release of an EP, Zaffre, earlier this year, as well as dates with Blondie and Cyndi Lauper that saw them playing to big crowds all over.
Jodi and Trish also gave us a great month of music as Double J’s Artist In Residence in July, which gave us an insight into what drives them as songwriters and performers and gave us a chance to revisit some of their greatest songs.
The band will continue that solid run with the release of a new single, ‘Beautiful Nothingness’, in October, of which this tour is in support of.
Joining them on the road are old touring buddies Falling Joys, who hit the road for the first time in 20 years for these dates.
The classic line up of Suzie Higgie, Stuart G Robertson, Pat Hayes and Peter Velzen will be there, so we’re anticipating those favourites from back in the day will sound just as good as ever.
The Clouds and Falling Joys play the following dates around Australia this November:
Friday 3 November – UC Refectory, Canberra
Saturday 4 November – The Factory Theatre, Sydney
Friday 10 November – Metropolis, Fremantle
Friday 17 November – The Croxton Bandroom, Melbourne
