Florence + The Machine to play massive Australian shows in 2019

Primary tabs

Florence + The Machine return to Australia for the first time since 2015.

There will be a new Florence + The Machine album out next Friday. It’s called High As Hope and if it even comes close to living up to the brilliant single ‘Hunger’ then we’re in for something really very special.

As if a new Florence record being mere days away wasn’t enough excitement, this morning she has announced that she is returning to Australia to play six massive shows around the country in January.

The band are clearly pretty fond of Australia – this will be their sixth visit since first visit us for Laneway in 2010 – but it has been a while between tours, with these dates marking their first in our country since 2015.

Aussie fans are ready for more from this remarkably dynamic performer, as she brings us all the songs we’ve fallen for over the years and no doubt plenty of new ones too.

The excitement doesn't end there. Joining them will be teenage indie star Billie Eilish, who blew audiences away at Laneway earlier this year, and our absolute favourite Kiwi crooner, and recent Double J Feature Album artist Marlon Williams.

Florence + The Machine play the following tour dates around Australia in January. Tickets are on sale from 12 noon (local time) Thursday 28 June. All shows are all ages.

Saturday 12 January – Perth Arena
Wednesday 16 January – Botanic Park, Adelaide
