Legends and fresh favourites assemble for Meredith Music Festival 2016

Where else can you see both Peaches and Ross Wilson?

The line up for the 2016 Meredith Music Festival has dropped. It’s great, of course.

Once again the festival brings together a special combination of legendary artists and some of the best new and kinda new acts around.

Appearances from the likes of Peaches, Japandroids, Cass McCombs, Kelela, BadBadNotGood, Jagwar Ma, King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard and Angel Olsen prove that Meredith is as capable of delivering a world class line up as any other festival on the planet.

On the legend front we have a performance from The Triffids, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of their classic album Born Sandy Devotional. The band will feature Jill, Alsy, Graham, Marty and Rob along with Rob Snarski, JP Shilo and maybe one or two other special guests.

Brilliant Prince collaborator Sheila E will bring the funk. Vocal reggae group The Congos will make you feel real good. Archie Roach and Ross Wilson will remind us why they’re two of the best we have. Dead Moon’s Fred and Toody Cole will make you feel awful about liking any other garage rock band.

Here’s the line up in full:

Peaches, King Gizzard And The Lizard Wizard, Sheila E, BadBadNotGood, Angel Olsen, The Triffids, Kelela, Ben UFO, Japandroids, The Congos, Baroness, Archie Roach, Jagwar Ma, Mount Liberation Unlimited, Fred & Toody Cole, Chiara Kickdrum, Cass McCombs, The Goon Sax, Ross Wilson, CC:DISCO!, Cable Ties, Wilson Tanner, Silence Wedge, The Sugarcanes, Judith Lucy, Terry, Sheer Mag, Dungen and more still to come.

The festival happens in the very special Meredith Supernatual Ampitheatre from Friday 9 to Sunday 11 December. If you wanna go, get in the ticket ballot now.
