Baker Boy has taken out the top award for this year.

The winners of the 2018 NT Song of the Year have been announced tonight at Darwin’s Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, with Baker Boy taking out the top prize for his infectious track ‘Mr La Di Da Di’.

All up, there were 11 awards handed out tonight, with Baker Boy taking home three of them, Gurrumul picking up two, and a few other Double J favourites – such as Black Rock Band and Caiti Baker – also winning on the night.

“The Awards celebrated songs that have captured the nation in 2018, from Baker Boy to Dr G,” Mark Smith, Executive Director of MusicNT said. “The NT is represented on stages and radio stations across the nation and MusicNT is proud to honour some of the most exciting songs in the country.”
