The 2018 Meredith Music Festival line up is here!
For almost three decades, party-savvy people from around the world have made a beeline for the tiny town of Meredith, a couple of hours outside of Melbourne, every December.
To the uninitiated, it probably seems a bit strange to debunk to such a remote spot for a weekend of fun. But to anyone who's been, there's no other place in the world like it.
This year, as with every other year, Meredith Music Festival organisers have put together a supreme line up of international and local talent that sees the festival stand tall among the proliferation of events that have sprung up in the decades they've been doing this.
There's the beyond iconic indie rock of The Breeders, the perfect punk poetry of Billy Bragg, hip hop royalty The Pharcyde, dancefloor ignitors The Presets, Lil Louis and Yaeji, Aussie icons The Aints and Mental As Anything, and more recent favourites like Sampa The Great and Pond. Not to mention the first ever Australian shows from the great Panda Bear.
Of course the music is only 98 percent of the fun (depending on who you ask), and Meredith will again shine in all of its wondrous, practically dickhead-free glory when it happens for the 28th time this December.
The full line up is as follows:
The Breeders, Billy Bragg, The Presets, Yaeji, Sampa The Great, Panda Bear, Lil Louis, Laura Jean, POND, DJ Jnett, Mambali, Montero, Nadia Rose, The Aints, The Pharcyde, Mildlife, Mental As Anything, Roza Terenzi, The Native Cats, Mim Suleiman, Tourist Kid, Time For Dreams, Zeitgeist Freedom Energy Exchange, DJ Lady Erica, Scott & Charlene's Wedding, The Seven Ups
Meredith happens from Friday 7 to Sunday 9 December. if you want to go, you need to be in the ballot, you can enter that here.
