You Am I to headline Double J 90s party this month

Primary tabs

You Am I, Jebediah and Killing Heidi fans won’t wanna miss this intimate party

We’re having a party!

The 90s on Double J has been such a blast all month that we figured we should take it offline and celebrate the decade in the flesh, with a very special Sydney event.

UPDATED (16/6): The party has now sold out! Tune into Lunch With Myf from Monday 19 June to win the final tickets.

Headlining proceedings will be a little band by the name of You Am I. They only had the number one song in our list of the 50 best Australian songs of the 90s. No big deal.

We know that we don’t need to convince you why seeing You Am I play live is always a great idea, but given they’ll be playing a set packed full of their 90s gems, as well as a few extra surprises, this one is particularly unmissable. Plus, you’ll rarely ever get a chance to see them in surrounds as intimate as this.

The excellent Kevin Mitchell of Jebediah fame, and Ella and Jesse Hooper, the sibling force behind the remarkable, recently reformed Killing Heidi, are also on board for the party. All acts will be playing a mix of original songs and classic Aussie covers

It doesn’t end there, with a few killer DJs making sure the dancefloor keeps moving through the night, including Darren Cross from Gerling and the always excellent Myf Warhurst and Zan Rowe, who’ll also host the night.

The show happens at newly reopened Lansdowne Hotel, a classic 90s stomping ground for so many, from 7pm Saturday 24 June.
