You Am I, Something For Kate, C.W. Stoneking headline new Sydney festival
For the past couple of years, the Bad Friday festival has made Easter time in Sydney a debauched affair, with a bunch of rambunctious young acts coming together for a huge street party.
That’s happening again this year, but the organisers have also decided to throw a second day of festivities with the older audience in mind. Good Saturday is born.
And they’re launching with some pretty serious clout, locking in a veritable laundry list of the best acts in the country right now. These are artists who honestly don't need any introduction and line ups so good that you're going to want to make sure you're there fromt he very start until the very end.
On top of that they're making sure the quality of the food and drink is top notch as well. Because these things become pretty important when you're a more mature gig goer.
It’s split up into two sessions, the daytime event skewing a little towards the blues/folk/country side of things, while things really ramp up at night.
Daytime (11am – 4.30pm):
C.W. Stoneking, All Our Exes Live in Texas, Cash Savage & the Last Drinks, Andy Golledge Band
Evening (6pm – 11pm):
You Am I, Something For Kate, Augie March, Jen Cloher
It’s all going down at Railway Parade in Marrickville on Saturday 31 March. Tickets are on sale right now.
