Belle & Sebastian return to Australia in 2018

The Scottish band play four Aussie dates in May.

Sprawling Scottish indie pop group Belle & Sebastian are one of the most esteemed indie acts around, with nine albums of quirky, literate and impossibly beautiful music and a perennially besotted fanbase.

The cult of popularity surrounding the band is immense. Their hushed, clever take on indie pop has won the hearts of people all around the world and their placement in films like High Fidelity has helped spread their music far and wide.

In the live arena they’re a whole lot of fun and, if their single from earlier this year, ‘We Were Beautiful’, is anything to go by, the new material is going to bring a whole new kind of energy to their shows.

Hear tracks from classic records like If You’re Feeling Sinister, The Boy with the Arab Strap and Dear Catastrophe Waitress, as well as material from their soon-to-be-released collection of EPs, How To Solve Our Human Problems, when Belle & Sebastian hit Australia for the first time in three years.

Belle & Sebastian play the following dates in May 2018. Tickets are on sale from Friday 1 December.

Wednesday 2 May – Astor Theatre, Perth
Friday 4 May – Palais Theatre, Melbourne
Saturday 5 May – Sydney Opera House
Monday 7 May – The Tivoli, Brisbane
