One of East London's most eclectic and acclaimed music acts, Ezra Collective are your Artists in Residence throughout June on Double J.
The 5-piece jazz crew have been kicking about for over a decade now, recently rubberstamping their status as the London Jazz scene’s biggest success story by winning the UK’s Mercury Prize for their 2022 album, Where I’m Meant To Be. And recently kicking off a new chapter with the release of their third studio album Dance, No One's Watching.
No strangers to Australia, the band’s legendary live shows are a showcase of their wide-ranging influences — Afro-funk rhythm, salsa grooves, dub, grime, hip-hop, Caribbean music and jazz.
You’ll be getting a full spread this all month as bandleader and drummer, Femi Koleoso brings the energy of their live shows to the Double J airwaves.
Femi is taking you around all the different dance floors that mean a lot to the band. From the London scene, to West African rhythms, spending some time in the baladas in Brazil and bringing you big sounds from around the world.
