They’re uncompromising, unrelenting and a little bit unhinged. Whether people related to their rage or just revelled in the way they expressed it, their intense heavy metal with hip hop flourishes helped make nu metal into the juggernaut it became in the late part of the 90s.
Their career continues in earnest, with their 12th album, The Serenity of Suffering, proving they haven’t settled down as they approach 25 years as a band.
